As I reflect on the last eight weeks with my collegial professional learning community, I can truly say that it has been a time of professional growth. Having the opportunity to research early learning systems that are in place all over the world has been very insightful. I have also learned the importance of these systems being comprehensive and how important it is to involve each component when designing these systems. Another important fact that I learned in these last eight weeks is how to design an early learning comprehensive system. I feel like I have the skills and knowledge to do being an active team member in creating a successful early learning system.
One of my professional goals is to become active in the state that I live in and assist in creating a comprehensive early learning system. I mentioned in one of the discussion boards that the state I live in has been awarded money for early learning through the early learning challenge. My goal is to keep my eyes open and to be a part of the dispensation of that money.

ReplyDeleteI hope to one day be able to be on one of the advisory committees at our capital building. This is a goal we share of being active in our respective states. I also learned the value of each of those systems too. I even learned things about Head Start that I didn't know and I thought I knew everything about Head Start. I wish you the best in the remainder of this program.
Gloria,
ReplyDeleteI too learned the importance of these systems being comprehensive. Through my research I saw the need to have the systems in place for all families. I too would like to be an active participant in creating the comprehensive early childhood learning system. Much success to you as we continue this journey.
Gloria,
